An 8-week practitioner-led program to propel your Deep Technology company from idea to investment readiness.
We want to help you solve the world’s biggest challenges
Do you want to lead impactful change in the world with game-changing innovation but are looking for structure and framework to accelerate your journey? Are you lacking time to fully explore a commercial opportunity or just unsure where to start? Or are you hesitant to launch a venture without a commercially experienced cofounder available?
The Deep Launch Academy is a part-time 8-week programme to develop as a leader capable of driving forward deep technology innovation, founding companies, and leveraging the next generation of world-changing technologies into the market place.
Launch Plan
From ideation and strength-testing, all the way to developing an investment ready business and pitching to a panel of investors. You will be guided through company formation, customer discovery, competitor analysis, value proposition refinement, business strategy, investment readiness and brand development. Through working with our professional partner network, you will develop strategies for financial planning, protecting intellectual property, and developing proof of principle systems.
In weekly mentored sessions with local entrepreneurs and advisors, you will stress-test your assumptions and grow as a leader and innovator. In week 8, the program culminates with a Demo Day to connect you to investors and grow your idea. Selected teams will be invited into our Ventures program to continue supporting their journey and seeking investment.

65+ hours of training, mentorship and support from founders with first hand experience via remote access
- Twice-Weekly Subject Focus Sessions Tuesday and Thursday 4pm-5:30pm on fundamental business topics related to your startup idea

- Investor introductions for qualifying participants through our investment partners at the Science Angel Syndicate

What it costs
The upfront fee if accepted onto the programme is £600 + VAT for the full 8 week programme.
- Places on each cohort are by application and limited in number to ensure high quality cohorts and effective mentor-to-participant ratios
- We often work with organisations, universities, and funding bodies to cover part or all of the cost of the programme. Get in touch to enquire about funding opportunities
- Candidates based at organisations within the Liverpool City Region are eligible for a full scholarship to join the June 2021 cohort

Ready to Launch?
Our next cohort launches in June 2021 in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Future Innovation Fund. There are also some bursaries and scholarships available too.
Sessions will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8th June - 29th July.
Applications close at midday on Friday 21st May.
